AETG was engaged to conduct a contamination and acid sulphate soil assessment for the proposed maintenance facility at Manly Golf Course.

1. Soil Characterisation
An intrusive investigation assessed potential contamination and determined the suitability of site soils for commercial/industrial use.

2. Acid Sulphate Soil (ASS) Investigation
PASS and AASS were identified. AETG developed a treatment methodology using calcium carbonate to neutralise the soils before excavation. Supervision was provided during treatment pad construction in line with ASSMAC (1998) guidelines, ensuring no cross-contamination. Validation sampling confirmed successful neutralisation prior to off-site disposal.
